How To Manipulate Insulin To Lose More Weight

Ignore all the marketing hype. There is only one thing you should direct all energies toward: insulin. After all, insulin dictates how much weight you will be able to shed.

You see, no matter how much you run, no matter how much you lift weights, no matter how many supplements you take, if insulin is high you will never lose fat.

So without further delay, here is how to get control back:

1. Avoid high GI carbohydrates. All carbohydrates are eventually broken down to sugar once digested. And sugar has the biggest impact on insulin bar none. Thus, eliminating high GI carbohydrates from your diet will be a powerful stimulus for lowering insulin.

2. Get in shape. Paradoxically, you need lower levels of insulin to lose weight, and you need to lose weight so that insulin decreases. In other words, the more fat you lose, the less insulin your body will produce to function properly. This is one of the reasons why thin people can eat a lot and not gain weight as fast as heavy people.

3. Embrace yourself for withdrawal. Yes, fast digesting carbohydrates (i.e., sugar) can cause drug-like symptoms of withdrawal. After all, drugs and sugar activate the same parts of the brain. I recommend using strong herbal teas and activities you enjoy doing as a distraction mechanism.

4. Do NOT buy into the whole grains approach. An outdated remnant of the U.S. food pyramid, whole grains are NOT optimal for losing fat in the shortest amount of time possible. And do not be swayed by the argument that they contain fiber.

5. Avoid alcohol. Not only does alcohol provide a LOT of calories, but it also leads to fat storage around your stomach. And fat around your stomach causes huge increases in circulating insulin levels. I would recommend no more than 1 small serving of alcohol per day.

If you can control insulin, you can lose as much body fat as you want, period. I believe the biggest hurdle most people face is dealing with the dopamine withdrawal that is accompanied by the absence of sugar. So follow the tips in this article so that you can be one step closer to reaching your goals.

Is Weight Loss Surgery Too Expensive?

Perhaps one of the biggest issues around nowadays is weight loss. With obesity now being one of the biggest epidemics in North America, losing weight is not only about looking good, it’s also about staying healthy. We’ve all heard or watched the documentary Super Size Me, and heard of all the terms like BMI, pounds, diabetes, and more. But did you know that losing weight will also significantly improve your quality of life? But then you find out the bad news: it’s too expensive! You can’t afford it.

Out of all the different weight loss surgeries out there, without a doubt the safest and the one with the most advantages would be the adjustable gastric band. This is also known as the lapband. When you compare it with the other weight lost surgeries, it’s safe, effective, and minimally invasive. With this in mind, what exactly are the benefits of choosing lapband surgery over the other options?

First off, the lapband surgery is a proven procedure. Not only has it been performed worldwide, with over 400,000 surgeries performed, but numerous of clinic studies on its safety and efficacy has proven this.

Second, the band is designed to be adjustable. So you don’t need to have surgery again in order to adjust it; you can easily adjust the degree you want in your weight loss, depending on your circumstances. For example, if you get pregnant, it is quite simple to loosen the band until you are ready to start your weight loss again.

Third, this procedure is quite affordable. Depending on the clinic that you go to, there are a wide variety of financing programs. They may have an in-house financing program that is designed to keep the procedure as affordable as possible. With monthly payments less than a car, and a decent down payment, as long as you keep in mind that you are investing in your own long term health, financing the procedure is easy.

One major advantage over other surgeries with the lapband is it is completely reversible. If for some reason, you want to remove it, it is just another simple procedure. As no real alteration has been done on your stomach, your stomach would soon return to its original form, as if nothing happened. However, keep in mind that the band is intended to stay in there forever. Don’t worry though, it won’t affect your healthy living.

For some, the cost of weight loss surgery seems prohibitive. But that is not true; weight loss surgery in many ways can be very important to your life. You just need to truly see it as that, and in fact, as an investment in yourself. Then you will see that it is not that expensive after all; this surgery has huge potential of changing your life completely.

You must remember one thing, and that is you are investing in yourself. If buying a car or a house is an investment, then this surgery is also. Those two things have monthly financing plans; it is fact that weight loss surgery also has such a plan. You only really need to make a down payment (the higher, the lower the monthly fees), and pay a monthly fee. If you happen to have a windfall, you can always make extra payments and reduce your monthly fees.

Shop around, as you should to find the best rates; some clinics may offer better monthly payments than others. Match it with the services that you want, some services you may want to cut out (such as extra seminars), and that may help reduce the cost. Ultimately though, remember that this is not a waste of money; you are investing in your self-esteem, your health, and your future. This investment will help you on your way to a new journey, and potentially a new life, a much higher quality of life.

The success behind healthy living is the willingness to make necessary changes to your lifestyle choices. Whether you have to modify your dietary plans or reduce any bad habits, every action you take has a reaction to your overall health. Eat healthy. Live healthy. Be healthy.

Remove Belly Fat

How You Can Achieve Belly Fat Reduction

Many men and also female body shapes tend to carry their extra weight around the stomach. Having extra weight around your middle is not advisable since it is considered to be a health risk. In order to increase your health, your appearance and your body confidence you should make doing something about the extra weight on your stomach and stomach weight loss a priority.

If you have a waist that measures more than 90 centimeters you are at risk of suffering from a heart attack and developing heart disease. It has also been shown that stomach fat can increase blood pressure, blood glucose levels and cholesterol levels.

Stomach fat is also called visceral fat and it is more potentially dangerous to you health than fat that is stored in other areas of the body such as the bottom and thighs. For anyone that is carrying weight on their tummy, this should act as motivation to reduce the weight and keep it off for good.

There are several different things that you can do in order to get rid of weight around the stomach and get a flat belly. You can do many different exercises that will focus on flattening your tummy as well as taking control of your diet and lifestyle to reduce the weight that you store there.

Whether or not you tend to put weight on around your stomach largely depends on your sex, age and genetic inheritance. However, having said that there is also some evidence to suggest that stress can also play its part. When you are exposed to stress your body produces a hormone called cortisol. Cortisol has been shown in some studies to cause the body to store fat around the stomach. Stress is a potentially debilitating thing for your health and this is more evidence that we should all try to reduce the amount of stress that we suffer.

It is also important that you take a look at your diet and make necessary changes there in order to reduce your weight. Foods that are high in fat are likely to end up around your middle. Reduce the amount of animal fats that you consume and increase the amount of fruits and vegetables that you eat. It is also very important to drink plenty of water and get lots of natural fiber into your system. Water and fiber will improve your digestive system and reduce the amount of bloating that you suffer.

Exercises that you do in order to reduce the weight on your stomach should combine aerobic fitness with muscle building exercises targeted at the abdomen. Aerobic fitness exercises are important in order to burn calories and increase the metabolism. This way some of the fat that has settled on your stomach will disappear. Stomach strengthening exercises such as crunches and burpees can help to tone up the area.

There is no magical pill or formula that will help you to melt away your tummy fat. Stomach weight loss is possible through changes in diet and lifestyle as well as doing targeted exercises for the stomach and general aerobic exercise. Getting rid of stomach fat can help to improve your long term health.

For the healthiest stomach weight loss, you must alter your lifestyle. Weight loss meals are nutritious and delicious and can be incorporated into the rest of your overall health routine. Click here to get your own unique version of this article with free reprint rights.

diet and calorie intake to lose 8 kgs in 8 weeks?

Hi , I have a profesional MMA fight on the 25th July.

My current weight is 94kgs , I have to weigh in at 83.9kgs the day before.

Im 6ft and my body fat is around 20% (not the leanest of people)

I Ideally want to get down to 86kgs and cut the 2.1 kgs with water/sweat loss in the sauna etc so that when I fight ill be at around 86kgs.

I train alot so that is sorted but I could do with some tips on the nutrition side of things.

Any tips or links to good sites would be greatly appreciated.

Does diet soda spike insulin?

I’d prefer answers from people with degrees in nutrition science, doctors, bio majors, biochem majors and the like.. I want to know if diet soda can actually work against weight loss programs because of spikes in insulin (which inhibits fat burn)

I recently am seeing a nutritionist and for the past 5 months and it has been going very well. In short, I have been eating 5-6 times a day and cutting out obvious deadly ingredients and foods while still working out 5 days a week. This has produced a 21lb loss in 5 months. I feel great, leaner, my abs are somewhat back, and everything fits alot better.

March 1: 5′10, 215lbs, 19% body fat
July 1: 5′10, 194lbs, 13% body fat

Now, the side I’m not so happy with. Of the 21lbs lost, 12lbs of that was fat, and 9lbs was lean muscle. I was hoping not to lose that much muscle as I’m also noticing a bit of loss in strength in the bench press as well as over all size. I was at around a 2300-2500 ca/day diet, so I assume I need more…..better yet, more protein? I currently am taking Optimum Nutritions shake which is only 20grams 2-3 times a day. My nutritionist suggests I up my calorie intake but a friend who is a trainer says I should not up calorie intake….but protein instead.

Can someone suggest a diet for me?

A bit about myself, please read it:
Age: 23
Gender: Male
height: 5′8ish
Weight : 149 lbs Goal: to lose a maximum of 16lbs
Workout: http://www.myfit.ca/fitnessprograms/viewprogram.asp?title=Advanced+Fat+Loss+Weight+Training+Routine&programid=292

I am trying to lose weight and my biggest obstacle is nutrition. for the last couple of weeks I’ve been munching brown bread sandwiches which tasted like feet.
Maybe its because I am really bad at making sandwiches and I think that none tastes good between two slices of bread without either mayo or ketchup. but what would you expect from a guy who lists fries and soda as the best food in the world.
so for next week I’ll try and actually cook stuff for a change, so if you have any suggestions please post them.
:)

What is wrong with this weight loss diet ?

4000 calories burned each day.

eat 2500 calories “good” foods which provide RDA nutrition.

eat 1000 calories of the junkiest junkfood possible which
brings joy to life. Saturated fat… the more the better.

leaves 500 calories of weight loss each day

–note … tested Cholesterol is a very low 87…good genes

i need help finding out what i should be eating to maximize fat loss, i am pretty muscular and have been going to the gym for about a month now, i am 5′6″ and am very muscular for my size, but i have always been pretty heavy (250, now 235) but have recently lost about 15 pounds by simply lifting weights( weight training) and 20 minutes of arobic excercise 5 times a week. i have stopped drinking soft drinks and have begun to look at the nutrition side of my goal which is to ultimately get to 220 pounds. i usually limit my meals to cereal for breakfast, some type of sandwich for lunch, and chicken or pasta for dinner. i have read that the best way to maximize fat loss is to eat lots of protein and fiber which help build muscle which in return burns fat. i know that this is alot of information but any responses or critics on my plans are welcome thank you.
