Is this workout working for my my fat loss?

Alright, so i am a junior in high school, 5′8 and 170 pounds with a small gut hanging out with gross man boobs. Everyday for the past few months I have been going to my school weight room every day for 45 minutes(a whole class period) and everyday after school I have been doing the “Shaun T Insanity workouts”. So my total time I spend working out is an hour and a half every weekday. I do not follow the Insanity nutrition guide with it though since I dont drink soda, eat alot of junk food, smoke or anything like that (except cookies at lunch at school).

So, like the header states. Is this a good routine to help me lose fat? Or is their anything else I could try doing to help?

P.S. I used to take whey protien but I felt that it was wasn’t helping me with fat loss goal.

thanks for reading this long post!

Tips for fat loss??

I’m 5′8 and i weigh 127 lbs. I don’t really need to lose weight but I do need to lose fat. Any tips on fat loss would be great. Nutrition, exercise, anything. Thanks.

Elliptical Cardio Machine

The Cardio Machine that Sucks

By: Craig Ballantyne, CSCS, MS

Recently, I was in Tampa, Florida, at a seminar. Between sessions, a physician from Georgia stopped me in the hall and said, “Hey Craig, you were right about those crosstrainer machines. I’ve had your program for a few months now and I’m getting better results with the bodyweight circuits.”

It’s always great to meet clients, and I was curious to find out how he heard of me. Turns out, he found me through Google, landing on an article I wrote about “how elliptical machines (crosstrainers) suck for fat loss“.

That’s right, I think those machines are almost a complete waste of time.

“I was using one of those machines for a long time and was wondering why I wasn’t getting any results,” the physician continued, “I’m so glad I found your program and now I’m using the bodyweight circuits from the Dumbell-Bodyweight Fusion Workout”, he added.

I told him how I wasn’t surprised. In fact, I’ve never personally known anyone to get great results with one of those crosstrainer machines. Now I’ve watched really lean people use them, but they didn’t get lean with those machines.

I know some people will be angry with what I have to say because they like exercising on the crosstrainer, but the truth is that they just don’t work as well as harder forms of interval training.

And hey, any time you are traveling or want a break from regular interval training workouts, you can use one of the 4 bodyweight circuits from the TT DB-BW Fusion Fat Loss program that you get as a bonus when you order the Turbulence Training fat burning workout routine.

Fat Loss Turbulence Training Hi,

I have been working out for last 6 months and last week I purchased Craig’s TurbulenceTraining program.

I have a query regarding my nutrition plan. I am 150 lbs with 18.5% body fat.

In last one month I have gained 2 kgs of muscle and 1 kg of fat. I take my weight & body fat after 2 weeks, I have noticed that muscle gain has remained the same but my body fat is increasing.

As of now I am totally clueless as to what is happening, I have not made any dramatic changes in my diet the only thing I started taking was a muscle gain supplement (which I started in last week of May).

I am thinking of reducing my intake of carbohydrates (esp. the muscle gain supplement, reducing that to 2 scoops instead of 4). Is this normal. Could you guys suggest any other carbohydrates that would help me reduce the fat and increase muscle at the same time.

thanks.

CLA Fat Loss

Does CLA help with fat loss? CLA referred to as conjugated linoleic acid, and it’s been recommended as a solution to eliminate body fat. It could even increase muscle tissue. Those who are most interested in CLA Fat Loss are those who wish to lose fat, and athletes. It may have benefit when it comes to both losing fat and gaining muscle.

How does CLA work?
Conjugated linoleic acid basically works by attempting to keep fat cells from growing too large; the premise is that it may block enzymes that let fat cells grow.

Researchers have suggested that CLA alters body composition by increasing muscle and burning fat because it metabolizes fat through a process that’s fairly complex. Basically, our bodily enzymes, like hormone sensitive lipase and lipo protein lipase, seem to both accelerate fat burning and block the uptake of new fat.

Should you try CLA?
CLA probably will not hurt and could certainly help with weight loss, although you should check with your health care specialist to ensure this is appropriate for you. Researchers have generally set the daily dosage at 3000 mg or 3 g, divided into three dosages of a gram each, taken with meals.

If you increase your CLA intake further, and take between 3000 to 6000 mg of CLA, split into three dosages and taken with meals, you may also stimulate muscle growth.

diet and calorie intake to lose 8 kgs in 8 weeks?

Hi , I have a profesional MMA fight on the 25th July.

My current weight is 94kgs , I have to weigh in at 83.9kgs the day before.

Im 6ft and my body fat is around 20% (not the leanest of people)

I Ideally want to get down to 86kgs and cut the 2.1 kgs with water/sweat loss in the sauna etc so that when I fight ill be at around 86kgs.

I train alot so that is sorted but I could do with some tips on the nutrition side of things.

Any tips or links to good sites would be greatly appreciated.
